Ryan J. Schroeder

The Schroeder Family

Mayor Schroeder was raised in Delavan, is a DDHS graduate, and is a seventh generation Delavan-Darien, Walworth County resident. 

Ryan went on to receive a BS degree in Administration and Public Policy at UW-Whitewater, and attended LaFollette School of Public Affairs at UW Madison. At the age of 24, Ryan became the youngest ever elected, City of Delavan official in its history; a record which still stands today.

 

During his time on the city council Mayor Schroeder has served in various leadership roles including:
 

  • Mayor 2020 - 2024

    • Chair, Finance Committee​

    • Chair, Plan Commission

    • Chair, Personnel Committee

  • Alderman, 3rd District (10 terms)

    • Council President

    • Council Vice-President

    • Chair, General Operations Committee

    • Chair, Public Works Committee

    • Chair, Downtown Revitalization Committee

  • Legislative Aid, Wisconsin General Assembly​

Mayor Schroeder also is very active in the community:
 

Ryan and his wife Natalie are Delavan homeowners and have two sons in the Delavan-Darien school district, where you’ll find Mayor Ryan J. Schroeder along the sidelines where he has volunteered as a youth football coach since 2016.

Continue to work toward improved communications, transparency and encourage more citizen involvement.

Continue encouraging cooperation with area governing bodies to increase efficiency and cut costs.

Continue to reduce property taxes and grow the local economy through careful budgeting and fiscal responsibility.
